The rules for using Pianify. Creating an account means agreeing to them. Playing does not need an account, and does not need this.
Pianify is provided by a private individual resident in Hungary, free of charge. There is nothing to buy, no subscription, and no advertising. Who that is and where to reach them is set out in the Imprint.
Keep your password to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you. If you think somebody else has got in, change your password — doing so signs out every other device — and tell us at info@pianify.net.
Your username is public. It is refused, and may be reset by us if it slips through, when it:
Substituting digits or lookalike characters does not get around this; the check reads what a name resembles, not only what it spells. If we reset a name, the account and its results survive.

All of this is checked on our servers, not in your browser, and the accuracy and rank shown on a board are recomputed from your judgement counts rather than taken from what your browser reported. A score that could not have been produced by playing the piece is refused and recorded.
None of these conditions restrict practising. Wait mode, half speed and the assists exist to be used, and using them costs you nothing except a place on a board.
Deliberately manipulating a submission gets the score removed. Doing it repeatedly gets the account closed.
The only things you create here are a username and a choice of picture from a fixed set. You grant us permission to display them on your profile and on leaderboards, for as long as your account exists, and for no other purpose. You keep whatever rights you have in the name itself.
The site's code, design and text belong to a private individual resident in Hungary. The recorded piano is Salamander Grand Piano V3 by Alexander Holm, used under CC BY 3.0. The arrangements belong to Atlantic Notes. The songs they are arrangements of belong to their rightsholders. See Copyright and Takedown, which sets out the position in full and does not gloss over the parts that are unresolved.
Pianify is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available, that scores will never be lost, or that it will suit any particular purpose.
We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for gross negligence, for wilful misconduct, or for anything else that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows for a service provided free of charge, our liability is limited.
If you are a consumer, this section does not take away rights your own country's law gives you and does not allow to be waived.
You can delete your account at any time from your profile. It takes effect immediately: you are signed out everywhere, your results disappear from every leaderboard, and you cannot sign in again.
For 30 days after that, your username, email address and password hash are still held so that a deletion made by mistake can be reversed on request. Write to info@pianify.net within that window. After 30 days they are overwritten and nothing can bring the account back.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Except where the breach is serious or we are required to act at once, we will say why and you may reply — see the complaint route.

We will give notice in the app before a material change to these terms takes effect, and record which version you accepted.
Hungarian law applies. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country, and you may bring proceedings in your own courts.
